THE STORY

of Enviro Chainsaws

Biggest Multi Store Dealer Of Andreas STIHLs in South Africa

Enviro Chainsaws was founded on the 1st of April 1996 by Mr. Marius Taljard who has very deep roots in the forestry, starting with his farther Hennie Taljard in the escarpment forest below Kaapsehoop, Mpumalanga.

His forestry career started in 1981 in White River Mpumalanga with HL&H. In the 8 years at HL&H, Marius spent 5 years at the HL&H training centre as a harvesting trainer specialising in the Nordfor one-man bench system.

Marius then moved to Importer and Distributer of Goscor engines and forestry in 1989 as a Technical Sales representative, with a focus on training. There he joined Mr. Theo Kraamwinkel, who was not a newcomer to the industry himself. Starting off with Lynn mowers in 1972 and Chainsaw Sales in 1978, he joined Forest Machines 1982, which was later bought out by Goscor. He remained there until 1999 under the mentorship off Mr. Pat Solan, and the two remain close friends to this day.

The history behind Enviro Chainsaws Centurion, Brits, Bosveld, Lowveld & Sabie

In 1996 Marius decided to venture out on his own, and founded the company that would later be known as Enviro Chainsaws. Working from his garage in Centurion and doing weekly road trips to the North West Province, Limpopo, and Gauteng, Marius soon built up a solid customer base.

The business was then moved to its own premises in Hennopspark, Centurion in 1997. Joined by Mr. David Keast and Mr. Johannes Serithi in the workshop and slowly the business grew from strength to strength.

In 2001, old friend and colleague, Theo Kraamwinkel joined the company and the following year Enviro Chainsaws Brits was opened and 3 years later in 2006, Enviro Chainsaws Bosveld was opened in Lephalale.

In 2015 the opportunity of opening a store in the Lowveld area came by, and was grabbed with both hands! In February 2016 Enviro Chainsaws Lowveld was opened in Nelspruit and in October of the same year Enviro Chainsaws Sabie was opened. Headed up by David Keast and his wife Marthie and drawing heavily on the forestry experience of Marius Taljard, the Lowveld stores are flourishing.

From humble beginnings, Enviro Chainsaws has grown to become one of the biggest multi store dealers of Andreas STHIL in South Africa, with a wealth of experience and a focus on customer service, the sky is the limit for Enviro Chainsaws.

Let see what the next 20 years will bring!!
